PROGRAM DETAILS
The European Pro Club Training program is for players ages 12 to 19.
We are taking registrations for players and teams interested in training in Portugal this August. We place players directly into Portuguese professional club environments to create memorable experience for players & teams looking to improve their game and train abroad.
August 2021
August is the perfect time to start your training experience as the clubs start their pre-season camps. Players will get the benefit of pre season training, possibility to participate in friendly games, and overall the chance to compete with players who are at the same starting point.
Our players and teams have trained with clubs such as SC Braga, Boavista, Vitória de Guimarães and many more!
INDIVIDUAL PROGRAM
This program allows players to experience the life of a professional soccer player, while enjoying time abroad in Portugal. Players can test themselves without committing to an entire year.
In August, players return to their clubs and begin pre season training. This is the perfect time to start the experience and to truly see the level of world class competition.
Players will train directly with a professional club's academy team. They will be coached by the club coaches and evaluated by the club technical directors, providing them with a unique opportunity to showcase and improve their skills!
* Parent / Guardian may also arrange for their own accommodation & transportation. ESC can assist in providing Parents with Portugal tours and recommendations to make it a memorable experience for the whole family.

MONTH IN PORTUGAL
Staying a month and training within a professional club environment will change how a player approaches the game. Participants will experience what it is like to train with future Portuguese stars.
Receive assessment from the club: Players will be assessed by the clubs and will be provided feedback on their game. It is also possible that a club will ask a player to stay and train with them longer or invite them back next summer for further evaluations. Some of our players have returned to these clubs on a yearly basis until they reach the age of 18 where the clubs are able to sign them to professional contracts.
Why minimum of a month? To make the most out of your time with the clubs, players are recommended to stay for the full month of training. It will allow for players to get comfortable in their new environment and showcase their abilities.

Where did you train? How was your experience training at that level? I trained at Braga FC. It was a challenging experience because I could not speak to he players because I could not speak Portuguese and they could not speak English. But when the training started I felt comfortable playing and I played well.
How did the experience shape you as a soccer player?
When I came back to Canada I felt like I was the best player here because I did well in Portugal so it should be easier for me to play here. The experience of playing in Portugal definitely boosted my confidence as a soccer player. This experience helped me understand that it is not too hard to compete with the players in Portugal. It helped me understand that playing simple is better and more efficient and benefits the team more. I got better at playing faster with less touches, being aware of my surroundings, dribbling is not always necessary.
What was was it like living in Portugal?
The living conditions were good. The weather is always great. There are nice people. When I went to the local soccer field the players were inclusive of me. The only thing I struggled with living in Portugal was the language barrier but everything else was great.
Yuaan is returning to Portugal for a month in July to prepare for his 2021 season.
